Submission Guidelines
Complete criteria for preparing, structuring, and uploading original manuscripts to the Kiabara editorial ecosystem.
1. Editorial Scope & Policy
Kiabara Journal of Humanities publishes premium peer-reviewed research across all domains of the humanities, including but not limited to: African Literary Studies, Linguistics, Cultural Philosophy, History, Religious Studies, and Theatre/Media Arts.
All manuscripts submitted must be **original work** that has not been previously published nor is currently under active consideration by another journal repository.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Authors must strictly format files before submission according to the standard structural conditions below:
- File Type: Microsoft Word format (
.docor.docx) strictly. - Length: Between 4,000 and 7,000 words, including references and endnotes.
- Abstract: A single paragraph descriptive overview not exceeding **250 words**, paired with 4 to 6 precise keywords.
- Anonymization: To guarantee integrity during blind reviews, remove all author names, institutional affiliations, and tracking metadata from the main document file properties.
3. Citation Style Framework
Papers within the domains of Literature, Theatre, and Language studies should implement the **MLA Style Manual** framework. Structural historical, philosophical, or socio-religious treatises may adopt the **Chicago Manual of Style** (Notes and Bibliography format).

4. Processing & Publication Charges
To support open-access indexing availability, the journal maintains the following subsidized structural fee tier framework:
