Journal Governance

Editorial Policies

The structural ethical rules governing submissions, corrections, and malpractice screening systems at Kiabara.

Plagiarism & Misconduct Screening

Kiabara maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism, data falsification, and redundant publication. Every manuscript submitted undergoes automated structural analysis through institutional detection repositories prior to desk evaluation.

If similarity indexes exceed **15%**, or if clear evidence of uncredited verbatim overlap is identified, the paper is immediately rejected without option for reassessment.

Retraction & Correction Guidelines

In alignment with COPE standards, the journal reserves the right to issue formal retractions or structural expressions of concern regarding published volumes if:

  • Unreliable data findings or severe scientific errors invalidate the critical arguments presented.
  • The work constitutes an uncredited replication of previously indexed materials.
  • Unreported conflicting commercial or academic interests emerge post-publication.

Revenue Sources & Advertising

Kiabara is fundamentally subsidized through funding allocations from the Faculty of Humanities, University of Port Harcourt. The journal does not accept commercial display advertising or promotional marketing content within its volumes to ensure complete independence of editorial metrics.
